The Witcher 3 Expansion Blood and Wine: Everything You Need To Know
The long waited new expansion of the Witcher 3 wild hunt is almost on the door. Seems that it’s time to say farewell to the master Witcher White Wolf – Geralt of Rivia.
Following the previous expansion “Hearts of Stone” released in October 2015, the new expansion “Blood and Wine” is coming on May 31. Blood and Wine will take place in Toussaint.
In a press release, the developer said:
Explore Toussaint, a remote land untouched by war, where you will unravel the horrifying secret behind a beast terrorizing the kingdom. With all trails leading to dead ends, only a Witcher can solve the mystery and survive the evil lurking in the night. Introducing an entirely new realm to traverse, new characters and monsters, Blood and Wine is a 30+ hour adventure full of dark deeds, unexpected twists, romance and deceit.
Toussaint is a place completely different from the rest of the witcher’s world. It is a land of beauty, festivals, wonderful women and romance. Known for its finest wine. Toussaint is colorful, it’s beautiful, like a place where reality mixes with fairy-tale.
But don’t forget you are still a Witcher. And you will be still slaying monsters in the region. Toussaint is crawling with various monsters. A mysterious deadly best is terrorizing the kingdom and murdering people. Only one Witcher can bring it down – the White Wolf. So Geralt was bring there by Anna Hennrietta – the duchess and ruler of Toussaint to uncover the secretes behind this and to take the beast down.
In the expansion you will also get 90 quests, 100 new armors, 40 points of interest and many hidden treasure and secrets to get discovered. One of the major change in the gameplay is, now you can customize mutation. For example you can temporarily mutate the telekinetic blast spell AARD so that it will freeze your enemy for a while. We have also noticed some change in the user interface. Looks more different and dynamic.
The Blood and Wine is recommended for Geralt’s level 35 or above. We are going to face some of the most dangerous enemy we haven’t face before. So before the release its better to spend some time in the Witcher universe to make your reflexes better.
