Portbliss Is Coming With A New Game But It’s Not From Heroes of 71 Franchise

by Shamim FerdousApril 10, 2017

The Heroes of 71 and Heroes of 71 Retaliation both was a tremendous success for the developer Portbliss. Back in 27th December 2016, the Heroes of 71 franchise surpassed 2 million download mark on Google Play Store. On that moment, the game still had 3.6 million active players and was played for more than 23.8 million times.

All these happened within just a year after release. Undoubtedly, Heroes of 71 is now the most popular and most played video game series ever made in Bangladesh. But as it is quite a while now since Heroes of 71 Retaliation was released, a big question is thriving among people. What’s next?

To find the answer we approached to team Portbliss. Their Head of Operation, Tanzil Tafheem said us that there won’t be any mission after the “Bridge level” which was the last mission of Heroes of 71 Retaliation. But they are currently working on something brand new and different from Heroes of 71. Developing from scratch.

“The Heroes of 71 franchise was an experiment for us which turned out into a huge success. Currently, we are working on something new.”

We asked Tanzil about the initial release date or at least when we will get to a teaser. He didn’t give anything specific but assured it will be between 2017-2018.

Tanzil also mentioned that they believe in patience and wanna enlight the game industry of Bangladesh with something legendary.

“We believe that patience is bitter but its fruit is sweet. Although it will take a while for the game to come but we want to enlight the game industry of Bangladesh with something legendary.”

Previously Portbliss also told us that they are working with TeleCommunication companies to monetize Bangladeshi game market with quality contents.

“Meanwhile, we are working with TeleCommunication companies to create a proper payment gateway. So that people can easily pay for contents they like and enjoy them without any hassle.”
